Cancer can feel deeply lonely, even when you are surrounded by people who care. Many tell us they only truly felt understood when they spoke with someone who had walked the same path.
That is why our peer support work is so important. Not only do we run our own groups, but we also offer a full support programme for anyone who wants to set up a group in their own community.
We help people get started, find a safe space to meet, build confidence, and create sustainable support that lasts. Through our volunteers, group leaders, and peer networks, we bring people together, reduce isolation, and make sure no one has to face cancer alone.
Working with other organisations in the community we help connect people with the support they need.
Many people tell us they wish they’d found peer support sooner. These groups fill a vital gap that clinical or medical services often can’t:
Whether it’s you first time or your fiftieth, you’ll be met with kindness, understanding, and a cuppa.
We believe in joined-up support. That’s why we often work in partnership with:
This helps us connect with wider support, making sure they get the help they need – when they need it.
You don’t need to be a ‘joiner’. You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. Just show up – and be met with kindness, respect, and understanding.
