Cancer Care Coordinator Team Review

To support the South Tyneside Health Collaboration with their annual service review by delivering meaningful community engagement and ensuring local voices directly informed their improvement plans.

Why This Matters

Annual service reviews are most effective when they reflect real experiences and insights from the communities they serve. Involving the public helps build trust, ensures services understand current needs, and supports more inclusive and responsive decision‑making.

What we did

We worked alongside the South Tyneside Health Collaboration to plan and deliver a series of community engagement sessions. These sessions gave the Collaboration high‑quality insight to inform their annual review process.
We organised the events and coordinated logistics with community partners.
Our facilitators led the conversations, encouraging open and constructive feedback.
We brought in local community organisations to ensure a diverse range of voices and lived experiences were represented.

Outcomes

What we achieved!
The engagement sessions provided the South Tyneside Health Collaboration with clear, community‑driven feedback to support their annual review and future service planning. Stronger connections were made between services and local organisations, and the structured facilitation ensured conversations were inclusive, productive, and focused. This work has reinforced the importance of embedding community voice in ongoing service development.
